Let Us Build Your New Home And Include Whatever You Wish

20 Years’ Of Experience Behind Our New Builds In Cornwall

It has taken us 20 years’ experience and graft on a multitude of projects to gain the knowledge and skills to take on new build developments in Cornwall independently. We are constantly upskilling our workforce with new training and continually strive to keep up to date with changes in the construction industry, as well as remembering those tried and tested methods of old that have stood the test of time. Being part of the Consumer Code of Conduct for New Homes and being able to offer our own insurance-backed guarantees demonstrate our commitment to our trade. We have also been members of the Federation of Master Builders for years.

One of the biggest advantages of building your own home is that you can have pretty much anything that you wish included in it, subject to planning laws, obviously.

Of course, today, we are all very much concerned with climate change and keeping our carbon footprint as low as possible. When we build your new build developments in Cornwall you can take advantage of all the current renewable technology – Power wall, Ground source and the available schemes. Your new build will also benefit from increased efficiency in todays appliances along side ensuring the highest standard on airtight/wind-tight and insulation will ensure you reap the benefit in low energy bills for years.

Another big advantage of new build developments in Cornwall is that your running costs will be a lot less than buying an existing property. We are not just talking about energy bills here, but the fact that you won’t have to carry out any maintenance or repair work. Even if something should go wrong and need fixing – which is very unlikely given the skills we have developed as traditional builders in Cornwall – you have our guarantee to fall back on, so it still won’t cost you anything.

If you are going to design your own home and have us build it for you as traditional builders in Cornwall, you don’t need to rush things. In fact, you need to spend a considerable amount of time to think about all the things that you want to include and where, as well as all the things that you don’t require. Certainly, you will need an architect to produce the finished design – unless, of course, you happen to be an architect – but it is best to have your plan complete rather than keep changing things, as that will only take longer and costs more.

One of the things that many homeowners do today is to extend the kitchen. This is because, in most families, the dining room has gone the way of the dinosaur. People eat in the kitchen and also entertain guests for meals there, so it follows that a bigger kitchen is a necessity in many homes.

If you have children, you may want to include a playroom in new build developments in Cornwall. This can work well until the children grow older when they can use it as a study to do homework in, and when they finally leave home you could convert it into a library – if you are a bookworm – a gym, an art studio, or even a wine cellar. As traditional builders in Cornwall we could help you with this when the time comes.

No matter. Whatever you need in new build developments in Cornwall, you choose it, and we’ll build it for you.

This building in Truro was our first solo New House Build in Cornwall. We did everything from excavations, groundworks (an insulated slab) right through to the landscaping at the end of the job. This house is Durasol ICF and has a Sedum green flat roof due to planning constraints for the ridge height. Completed in 9 months. ICF is a very efficient Houde design which has far reduced electricity and running costs when built correctly.
